Sister Troops: Sign up Now!

Pima Neighborhood is once again pairing up troops who are interested in having a sister troop for the 2014-2015 year.  A sister troop can be a troop of the same level as your troop or you can opt to sister up with a troop of a higher or lower level.

Sister troops of the same level can plan activities together once or throughout the year.  Pair up to take a field trip or to earn a badge.  This is a great way to broaden your troop's world of Girl Scouting and encourage girls to make new friends.

Older girl troop who pair with younger girl troops can practice their leadership skills by leading activities or meetings.  Bridging activities require that girls spend time with girls at the next level, and sister troops make fulfilling that requirement a snap.  Mutli-troop, multi-level bridging can also be a very meaningful sister troop activity.

Other ideas for sister troops:

  • Share activities: cookouts, songs, crafts, games, camping trips, and more.
  • Have a Friendship party with your sister troop on or around Juliette Low’s Birthday (October 31st)
  • Exchange friendship pins, swaps, or bracelets.
  • Sing friendship songs
  • Teach your sister troop a new skill
  • Walk in the Parada del Sol together
  • Plan a joint community service project
  • Visit a nursing home together

Ask your girls what they’d like to do as a group!
