Birds, Butterflies and Me

Earth Day Service Event

Date: Sunday April 23, 1-3 pm

Location: Scottsdale Ranch Park Ramada #10

Description: Girl Scouts will learn about a local food web. Activities include starting milkweed plants, building bee houses, picking up trash, and making a habitat for Burrowing Owls. At the end of the day, Girl Scouts will bring home plants to keep at their house or bring to school. Increasing sources of food and shelter helps all animals in Scottsdale.

Volunteers: Older Girl Scouts will be needed to help facilitate the activities. If you are interested in volunteering, email  gstrp2010@gmail.com

Cost: $5 per girl. Please bring your check with you to the event since there is no April Leader's Meeting.

Supply Request: In keeping with the theme of the event, we are trying to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. If you have: unused small pots, bamboo sticks, twine, shovels, paint, art style paint brushes, soil, or other garden supplies that you are willing to donate, please reach out to gstrp2010@gmail.com.

Please sign up your troop here.
