Photos will be shared and celebrated on the Pima Neighborhood Facebook page. Taste is important because your family will be eating your masterpiece, but for this competition, what we are looking for is a visual match to the original design. Participants will receive a patch. RULES 1. The baked product needs to be your best version of a copy of the pictured cake. 2. All decorative elements should be edible. 3. A minimum of four photos taken from different angles should be submitted. The more photos, the better. Please feel free to zoom in on details. 4. We are sending out the call NOW because we believe there will opportunities for discounted items over the next months (Black Friday? after holiday sales?) to maximize our efforts.

WHAT IS A JARED BOX?
A Jared Box is a shoe box full of small toys and activities that are given to children who are hospitalized. The goal of the Jared Box Project is to lift the spirits of children in the hospital. Boxes filled with the "gift of play" are given to young patients in emergency rooms, hospital rooms, surgical centers, and clinics.
The boxes symbolize the importance of play and are filled with well wishes, hope, and love.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE
There are a number of avenues you can choose to participate depending on your desired level of participation. Please fill in this link to report your participation and receive your patches.
Families or troops assemble full boxes by following the directions here. This video shows you how to complete a full box.
RULES
Because these boxes are going to sick children, all items must be new. No food items. No tiny items due to choking hazards. No snow globes or glass items that can break. No pencil sharpeners. No bubbles. No holiday items. Keep in mind, toys need to fit into a plastic shoe box.

Please deliver all completed boxes to Diana by March 31.

Please mark the following dates on your calendar now for our leader meetings next year. ANY adult volunteer is welcome to attend these meetings. Please make an effort to send one adult volunteer to each meeting, and alert your cookie managers about the November 4th training dates.
Until further notice, we are on Zoom. If in-person meetings are possible, meetings will once again be held at the Boys and Girls Club at 10 am and 7 pm. The evening meeting will be followed by a social hour, starting at 8:15 pm, generally at Goldies.

All Financial Reports must be completed online. To do this, you must log onto the Girl Scouts Arizona Cactus-Pines website and go to "My GS." Once logged in, select "Volunteer Toolkit" and then "Finances." The online form will then load to fill in using the numbers from yourdetailed cash report.
Please upload a copy of your last bank statement and your detailed cash report when you submit your finance report.
Troop Finance reporting is a condition of auditing and must occur yearly. The due date for submission is June 30th but we highly recommend you complete this by the end of May before the summer lull hits.

They are the same activities from last year and available to new members only. The boxes are available in both English and Spanish. The price is $40, and the program includes:
Three subscription-like boxes filled with GS Activities, including badge/patch work and supplies (mailed each month May, June, July)
An extended year membership which covers registration through September 2022 ($35.00 value)
