Car Packets

So you're preparing for a troop trip/encampment and need to assemble a car packet.  What's that? Why do I need one? What's in it?

A car packet is a collection of forms intended for use in the event of an emergency.

A car packet is intended to ensure that legal and liability requirements are met in the case of an accident or emergency. Information in the packets help you connect with council members who can help you take the right steps.

When taking a trip…

Your first step is to complete a troop trip application for the trip.  The troop trip application should include all girls and all adults who are traveling.  All participants must be registered and adults must have completed their background check.

  • Our service unit is Pima.
  • You will need pdfs or jpegs of CPR and TCC cards for this application.
Next, assemble your driver's packets. Create Drivers Packets for each driver, even if a driver if there is car with only a driver and his/her own daughter.

If you create identical packets, you can give each driver a packet, shuffle girls amongst cars as you wish without having to shuffle paperwork, and collect the packets again after camp. You will turn this packet in when you check in – be sure to get them back before you leave! Each packet should contain:

• A list of all riders in that particular car (in case of emergency)
Adult information and health form for all adults
• Directions to camp and map of camp
Map of Willow Springs
• Camp schedule

Other forms to include:
Each car should have ALL of these items on them and available for check in upon arrival.
