There must be an adult present with current First Aid/CPR certification every time you meet with your troop. You can find a list of acceptable training providers on the council website; note that online only trainings are not sufficient for Girl Scout purposes. To make training convenient for Pima’s leaders and older girls, we arrange an instructor to provide training locally twice every October.
This year Pima’s training consists of an online First Aid portion and then an in-person CPR portion. Once you pay $40 (or $30 for girls in 6th grade and higher), you will be emailed a link to take the online First Aid part of the training. You must complete the online class and either print or take a screenshot of the completion notice at the end of the online class. Bring that completion proof to the in-person CPR class.
There are two choices for in-person CPR portion: either Tuesday October 17 from 6pm to 10 pm or Saturday October 21 from 8am to noon. The in-person portion will be held at the Congregational Church of the Valley at 120th and Shea. Space is limited, so sign up soon to ensure you may attend. The sign-up link provides the options for paying Diana and for choosing which CPR date you prefer.
Any registered Pima adult or registered girl in 6th-12th grade made take this class. If there are seats available, we will also accept other adult family members.
